You will be working under the direction of Registered Nurses to deliver a high standard of care to the residents of the hospital. You will act as an associate worker for an identified group of residents under the supervision of Registered Nurses or team leaders, delivering safe and effective implementation of individualised programmes of care.
Our Specialist Nursing Home offers care in a dedicated setting, delivered by a team who are experienced in managing neurological conditions while working to optimise independence and function wherever possible. Summary Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) is one of the oldest independent hospitals and medical charities in the UK. We provide person-centred care that focuses on enhancing dignity, independence and quality of life for our patients and residents. Our services span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care, for people with complex Neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.
The Specialist Nursing Home consists of four wards with residents who reside with us for long term placements, slow stream rehabilitation or complex discharge planning needs. They all require 24 hour Nursing care and are dependent on staff to maintain their safety and provide safe and effective personalised care. They have personalised care plans and guidelines which must be followed to ensure their care needs are delivered in a safe way. A key focus within the Specialist Nursing Home is the provision of activities and leisure which staff are required to support and facilitate daily activities on the ward and external trips
Our Promise
We have a strong commitment at the RHN to support our people's well-being and development. In 2023, we are proud to introduce our first in-house HCA Development Programme which aims to equip you with the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours to deliver an outstanding level of patient-centred care for patients with complex neurological needs. You will learn about Brain Injury including mental health, dementia and learning disabilities, as well as understanding 'Quality of Life' including 1:1 care and escorting.
