The RHN is a leading national centre of excellence, providing adult person-centred services that span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care, for people with complex Neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.
The Communications Assistant will provide support to the wider Communications team at the RHN. Working on both internal and external channels, the role will involve writing content tailored for various audiences, creating print media for display around the hospital, and working in digital formats such as the RHN intranet and website.
Main Objectives of the role
Demonstrate an awareness of RHN’s objectives and contribute to achieving them appropriately.
Help to deliver internal and external communications work that is of a high standard and tailored to specific audiences.
Make sure all content is branded and in keeping with the RHN house style.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the RHN.
Key Responsibilities
Produce internal signage such as posters, leaflets and digital screensavers.
Source and write up relevant content for publications and weekly internal emails.
Make edits to the RHN website and keep news content up to date.
Organise the Communications team’s photographic and design libraries.
Help to organise and run internal events such as the annual ‘RHN festival’.
Contribute to the RHN photography portfolio using the department’s camera.
Work flexibly – and on occasion at unsociable hours – to support RHN fundraising events, and cover the work of the wider Communications team as necessary.
